As announced several weeks ago, this content notably proposes to embody Hilde, this antagonist who pursues the Valkyrie of the game throughout the adventure, in a mode Hilde’s Vengeance accessible from the main menu. This one has, we are told, a gameplay distinct, with a different skill tree and a big halberd as a main weapon. Failing to call upon the Einherjar in combat like her counterpart, she can summon four shadow servants, in addition to her divine arts – which in the end should clearly not change much in terms of handling.
Two new difficulty modes, “Very Hard” and “Valkyrie”, will also be added for the more adventurous, or those who found the original already a little too easy. Same story for the mode Seraphic Gate, as a nod to fans of the original episodes: this one offers to test your skills in combat against waves of enemies, but also against the clock. So many floors to climb in the face of different hordes, and boss which will have to be challenged with a predetermined selection of skills, Einherjars, Divine Arts and items, subject to change at each stage.
Note that these two modes must be unlocked after validating one of the ends of the main campaign.
