VALORANT: Jett’s nerf presented by Riot – VALORANT

As one of the original 10 Agents of VALORANT, Jett has known it all in FPS. Initially neglected by the players, she has, for a few months, become an essential character, since we find her, very often, in part. After having thought, Riot Games believes it could become dangerous for the meta, which is why it’s going to get an overhaul.

Jett’s nerf in Valorant

Several things will therefore change for the duelist, originally from South Korea. Her E (Downwind) will be greatly revised, so team members now know that she is preparing to attack.. From now on, using this skill, Jett will have 12 seconds to move, since it will no longer be automatic. Here is exactly what will change for this skill:

  • Pressing the skill key opens, after a short delay, a 12-second window during which Jett has the ability to dash forward if she presses the key again.
  • Her Tailwind charge is consumed whether she uses it before expiration or not, but she can still recover it with two kills.

For more details on why such a change, the developers explain that “ Tailwind has become deleterious to the tactical cycle in too many situations to ignore », and after many tries, the changes above, seemed the most interesting and logical, not to mess up the meta too much. The objective is therefore to give his opponents a chance to counter it, but also his teammates to adapt better by avoiding a surprise attack on his part, without reducing his aggressiveness.

These changes on Jett will be integrated with patch 2.08, which will normally be deployed this April 26 on VALORANT. In the meantime, we remind you that the new Agent, Fade, has just been unveiled.
