Valorant: KC, KOI, Navi… Who is in the franchised VCT system?

Next year, Valorant’s competitive circuit will take on a new dimension, ever closer to the League of Legends model. The VCTs will indeed take a big step towards the franchises and for many weeks, Riot Games has been studying the applications that have been sent by the interested structures. Everyone wants to obtain their “partner” status, but places are limited… With only 10 slots for the (very) large EMEA region, there will inevitably be some people disappointed.

BLIX.gg seems to be particularly well informed about the negotiations and the site has already leaked 6 names out of the 10. Even if its list has to be taken with a grain of salt, it smells very good for the teams mentioned.

The teams that would have been accepted

  • Karmine Corp (previously in VRL France)
  • KOI (previously in VRL Spain)
  • Fnatic (already in VCT)
  • Team Vitality (previously in VRL France)
  • Navi (already in VCT)
  • Team Liquid (already in VCT)

On the side of France, we can rejoice. Two tricolor structures would have succeeded in integrating the main circuit, whereas until now, no French team had succeeded in obtaining its qualification sportingly. Spain would also place a representative with KOI… it must be said that Riot Games would have been very wrong to deprive itself of the two huge fan bases KOI and K Corpwhich guarantee audiences and engagement on networks like IRL.

Waiting room teams

Speculation is rife regarding the identity of the 4 last teams accepted. It must be said that there are still a lot of big names who remain on the side of the road for the moment… we imagine that the fans (and the players) are sweating profusely. To name a few, we can talk about teams like FPX, G2, BBL, BIG, GUILD or ACEND.

On the French-speaking side, structures like BDS or MAD Lions could have tried their luck. But while two VRL France teams have already been selected, we imagine that we should not expect to see another land.

esport-valorant

Karmine Corp fans are eagerly awaiting good news: KC in the LEC on League of Legends. But for the moment we will have to settle for another announcement. The structure would have integrated another European competitive division, but on Valorant.
