Vampire: The Masquerade gameplay

Last September, the British studio The Chinese Room officially announced that it was taking charge of the development of
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. The developer is revealing its vision of the game today in a video lasting just over 30 minutes with no less than 15 minutes of gameplay.

An extended gameplay footage that leaves you with a taste of déjà vu and rightly so since it is an extension of the trailer shared by the studio last December. We discover the Brujah, one of the four playable clans of Bloodlines 2. Known for their bad temper, they are also quick-tempered and possess supernatural strength. At the same time, what could be more logical for blood drinkers?

The video here focuses on one of the first missions of the game. Phyre has just settled in Seattle. She approached the court to try to find out more about the mark she has on her hand that prevents her from fully using her powers. She then goes in search of a certain Willem, a Nosferatu who could give her some answers. But after finding him, Willem clearly doesn’t intend to serve him the answers to his questions on a platter. Phyre will therefore have to face the obstacles he puts in his way to try to understand what is happening.

If at first, Phyre prefers to opt for a furtive approach in the twists and turns of the warehouse where the action takes place, she quickly goes on the offensive. In addition to being able to fight with fists and claws, she can also use telekinetic power to control her enemies.

It also appears that the dialogue choices made will affect Phyre’s relationships with other vampires. It remains to be seen to what extent these relationships will impact the overall vampire story.

Still planned for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 should see the light of day in fall 2024.
