(CercleFinance.com) – Vendée Eau’s Jourdain program to secure drinking water in France and Europe is taking a new step with the laying of the first stone of the refining unit.
This unit will make it possible from the end of 2023 to produce very high quality water from wastewater.
Vendée Eau entrusted Veolia with the construction, construction and operation of this refining unit. ‘Veolia brings its expertise and know-how in wastewater treatment to Vendée Water by offering a complete, high-performance sector’.
Pierre Ribaute, Managing Director Water France of Veolia, declared “The REUT, or reuse of wastewater, responds in a concrete way to the challenges of the scarcity of water resources that we are currently experiencing, and which will, we are convinced, to supply millions of citizens with drinking water of irreproachable quality in the near future’.
