VERGNET: Acceleration and intensification of projects at the end of the year at VERGNET – 2022-12-27 at 08:30

Acceleration and intensification of projects at the end of the year at Vergnet

Elms, December 27, 2022

Like the recent commissioning of the wind power plant in Barbados, the 3R plan continues to gain momentum with the acceleration in recent weeks of several Group projects around the world.

Two photovoltaic power plants commissioned in New Caledonia:

  • The first plant follows a call for tenders launched by the municipality of Nouméa in November 2021 for the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roof of the Aquatic Center of Nouméa.

The total power of this plant is 154 kWp.

The amount of this project amounts to 148 K€.

  • The second plant, awarded following a call for tenders launched by the municipality of POYA in the north of New Caledonia in December 2021, concerns the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roofs of 6 secondary schools.

The total power of this plant is 92 kWp.

The amount of this project is 103 K€.

For these two installations, the Vergnet teams took charge of the supply and installation of the structures, solar panels and inverters.

Other facilities are nearing completion for commissioning before the end of this year.

Acceleration of the construction of the hybrid solar/diesel power plant in Agadez (Niger):

This project, one of the largest hybrid photovoltaic projects in Africa, and particularly strategic for the Group, includes an EPC contract consisting of 18.9 MWp of photovoltaic energy, 3 diesel generators of 2.6 MW and 11 .5MWh of storage, associated with a maintenance period of 2 years.

The first factory acceptances (FAT) of diesel generators and solar panels have been carried out in recent weeks.

The first shipment took place at the beginning of December, it is the first of five batches of photovoltaic panels.

Other important shipments, including that of the diesel generators, are already planned in the coming weeks for arrival on site on the 1

er

quarter 2023.

These projects demonstrate once again the dynamism of the Vergnet Group in several areas around the world and the perfect adequacy of its solutions in response to the expectations of the authorities and the populations: to produce a large part of the energy necessary for the development of regions and to contribute as well as the energy transition.

Other projects are currently in progress for an upcoming commissioning.

For Cyril Ledran, CEO of Vergnet SA, “

The revitalization is underway and is bearing fruit both operationally and in terms of the company’s business. After having initiated the necessary ongoing restructuring, we are now in working order to approach the year 2023 under the sign of growth.

“.

To be continued then….
