Vergnet: signs a contract in Fiji with EFL – 06/12/2022 at 09:42


(CercleFinance.com) – Vergnet announces the signing of a repowering contract for the Sigatoka Wind Power Plant on the main island of Fiji Viti Levu, worth 7.8ME with Energy Fiji Limited (EFL).

This contract covers the refurbishment of 35 wind turbines representing a power of 9.6MW.

This major 32-month project will mobilize six technicians from Vergnet Pacific and around ten local jobs. It also demonstrates Vergnet’s experience and expertise in preventive and curative maintenance.

Indeed, the company strives to guarantee a high level of quality in maintenance and upkeep. These positions are essential to ensure efficient and continuous operation of the wind turbines.

This contract also allows the subsidiary to envisage good prospects for development, to come in the coming weeks.

For Cyril Ledran, Managing Director of Vergnet: ‘This contract underlines the dynamism of Vergnet Pacific under the impetus of Tamaso Pooi, Director of the subsidiary and his teams. And to be as close as possible to its needs, we are considering opening a subsidiary in Fiji.’
