Every year in December, the Pantone Color Institute chooses the trend color of the coming year. While 2021 was still relatively simple with the color duo yellow and gray, this year it can be a little more. After two years of pandemic, this suits us very well!

Very Peri is the name of the color that we should aim for in 2022 when it comes to furniture. Because the purple trend color, which consists of a mixture of blue and reddish-violet nuances, is supposed to put it in plain English ‘finally bring life back into our booth’. This is how we stage the eye-catching color in our home.

What is the best way to combine Very Peri?

When it comes to combining the lively violet, there are hardly any limits to our imagination. Depending on how brave you are, the color Very Peri can be integrated into your own home, from simple to colorful. However, so that the color really comes into its own, we recommend observing the following rule of thumb: The larger and brighter the room, the more Very Peri can move in.

This is how we combine the Pantone trend color with the romantic living trend from Guido

We remember, Guido Maria Kretschmer revealed to us some time ago that in 2022 romance will be allowed to move into our homes. That suits us very well, because the Pantone trend color can be perfectly integrated into the romantic interior design.

A great example of what this can look like is provided by color expert Annie Sloan, who combines a squiggly, playful interior with a pink touch into a bold variant of the shade Very Peri as a wall colour.

Villa Colorful

If you really want to let off steam in your own four walls, you can combine Very Peri with different materials, unusual shapes and strong colours. The following applies here: the higher the contrast, the better.

Glamorous appearance

We give our home a glamorous touch by combining the vivacious violet with metallic tones in silver, gold or bronze. High-quality materials like velvet, silk or leather underline the look and round it off perfectly.

With the right materials, your home will also have that certain something.

With great attention to detail

If you want to bring the Pantone trend color into your home, but don’t want to turn your entire interior design upside down, including the wall color, you can also bring the violet shade into your own four walls exclusively as decoration.

Interior lover Daniela shows us how it’s done. Thanks to small details, she skilfully showcases the color Very Peri in her daughter’s room.
