Victoria Romanovna Bettarini: She shares special throwback photo

It is primarily family photos and snapshots of little son Alexander with which Victoria Romanovna Bettarini regularly delights her approximately 17,700 Instagram followers. On October 30th the Grand Duke’s wife does Georgi Romanow gives her fans a special gift: she shares a photo that shows her at just 22 years old – beaming next to a man other than her Georgi. The background has little to do with romantic love, it’s about one of Victoria’s great interests. “I worked in aerospace for years. […] During that time I met many astronauts and always asked them the same question: ‘What does the first one look like when you see it from space?'”

The answer from those she spoke to was always similar, Victoria remembers today: “The Earth from space is something special. It is the only inhabited planet we know, and it is beautiful and fragile.” She continues: “I have always found this concept to be so incredibly simple and obvious. In the picture I was 22 years old and next to the astronaut Vittori.” The man next to her is Roberto Vittori, 59, an Italian astronaut.

King Harald able to work again after Covid illness

“His Majesty the King has been diagnosed with coronavirus and is on sick leave until he is symptom-free. The King is suffering from cold symptoms and is staying at home,” the Norwegian court said on Sunday, October 22nd. King Harald, 86, was infected with the coronavirus for the second time. This had bitter consequences for the monarch, because due to his illness he had to cancel his participation in the dinner for the members of Parliament on October 26th, in addition to other planned appointments such as an audience and a meeting of the Council of State.

Now the king and people can breathe a sigh of relief again. A week after being infected with Covid, the 86-year-old appears to be fully fit and able to work again. As confirmed by Guri Varpe, head of the court’s communications department, he has recovered. It is said that he will resume the tasks scheduled for him in the calendar from Monday, October 30th.
