Victory in Innsbruck – next trick: 99ers become serial offenders

The successful run of the Graz ice hockey cracks continues. After the triumph in Dornbirn, the men of head coach Jens Gustafsson in the Wild West were harmed and also won in Innsbruck. Boivin and Co. sank the Haie 3-2 – it was the fourth win in a row.

There was a lightning start for the 99ers in the promised Land of Tyrol! The Graz team started like a tarantula, leading 1-0 after just two minutes with a goal from Gordon. The home side then shot sharply, but 99ers goalie Engstrand “hexed” with a Lattner shot. And after eleven minutes the Tyroleans only hit aluminum, as in minute 16 – pig for the Styrians! But with that the Haie had fired their powder for the time being, the 99ers everything under control. And added the 2-0 through Boivin (27th). Ate the cheese? Not at all. The Tyroleans came back out of nowhere and made it 2-2 within two minutes. But the Graz team are currently on the wave of success and promptly replied: Blood, only returned after the ban, pushed the puck (with his foot) into the box to make it 3-2. Already the fourth victory in a row, the last time the 99ers managed to do that was a year ago!
