Children over five years old will be able to go to a vaccination center this Wednesday and from Friday to their pediatrician or maternal and child protection establishments. The vaccination center in our report already welcomes children at risk. It will be one of the 191 open on Wednesday every 5-11 years. At the beginning of January, 350 centers will be equipped with pediatric doses. These doses are recognizable. “We have at our disposal an adult vaccine in purple vial and a pediatric vaccine in orange vial”, explains Doctor Gilles Valin.
Parental authorization is required
This vaccine is three times less concentrated than the adult dose. The needle is also shorter. Eva, 11, comes to be vaccinated, accompanied by her mother. If she has never caught it, she will need a second dose in three weeks.
