Almost seven months after the placement in detention of their client, the three lawyers of Cédric Jubillar will formulate next Tuesday a new request for release of the thirty-something.

On June 18, the painter-plasterer was indicted for “intentional homicide” and imprisoned. The prosecutor of the Republic of Toulouse at the time, Dominique Alzeari, had then mentioned during a conference of pesse a “very conflictual separation context” and reports a heated argument on the evening of December 15, which their 6-year-old son allegedly witnessed. The magistrate had also indicated that Cédric Jubillar knew that his wife had a “lover”, that he watched her, and that he showed himself “intrusive” sometimes “brutal and aggressive”. He also added that when the gendarmes arrived at the house for maintenance “extremely neglected”, on Wednesday December 16, 2020, the night of the disappearance, around 4:50 a.m., he was running a washing machine with his wife’s duvet inside.

This last argument, appearing according to the prosecutor among “serious and concordant clues”, is actually not proven. Thursday January 6, 2022, The Midday Dispatch revealed that “the duvet in which Delphine Jubillar was supposed to sleep, on the night of December 15 to 16, 2020, was good in the living room when the gendarmes arrived on December 16 “ and not in the washing machine …

However, the prosecution has other elements against Cédric Jubillar, considered the main suspect. Among these elements: inconsistencies in his account on the evening of the disappearance, his phone which was switched off from 10:08 p.m. to 3:53 a.m., calls made very quickly to his wife’s friends, less than a quarter of an hour after he noticed the disappearance of his wife, or even death threats that Cédric would have uttered in front of witnesses such as: “I’m going to kill her. I know a place where she will never be found.”

“The duvet is presented as a determining element by the prosecutor. From the beginning, we said that this duvet was not in the washing machine when the gendarmes arrived at 4:50 am, that this machine had not turned. In front of us the smile was ironic. Today the demonstration is made that this duvet was on the sofa when the gendarmes arrived and that it will not be seized until December 17th “, recalls Alexandre Martin, one of Cédric Jubillar’s lawyers.

“Objective evidence is crumbling”, adds Cédric Jubillar’s lawyer who also cites the pedometer mentioned by the prosecutor, and who did not give the right number of steps.

As for the testimony of his new companion, Séverine, who says in Le Figaro that she is “not 100% sure of his innocence”, Me Martin replies:“We are trying to hold an accusation on the basis of his companion who after having done X hours of custody, pressed by the gendarmes, no longer has confidence in him. But wait, we are talking about a criminal record, we are talking about a justice that must be supported by evidence, by objective elements. These elements collapse! “.

For the lawyer, “the presumption of innocence must be consecrated and this man must be released”. “I remind you, this is a file in which you have neither a body nor a crime scene, which nevertheless poses a difficulty”, concludes the latter on LCI.
