M6 broadcast a new episode of Top Chef 2024 on Wednesday April 17 in the early evening. A week after Lise’s elimination, the competition intensified for the candidates still in the running.

This episode focused on a legendary test of the show: the black box. The ten candidates still in competition were asked to reproduce a dish blindly using only their senses of taste, touch and smell. To make matters worse, production called on Best Workers in France.
Shirley and Marie failed to convince the jury. A duel was organized and it was decided to eliminate the second. A departure which particularly saddened Stéphanie Le Quellec who could not contain her emotion. Shirley was sent to The “Hidden Brigade” where she faced Lise, previously eliminated, and Thibault who had dominated this brigade for five weeks. At the end of a close match, Pierre Gagnaire and François-Régis Gaudry caused a huge drama. Thibault Marchand was eliminated from the competition.
Thibault Marchand looks back on his elimination from Top Chef 2024 : “I took a big risk…”
In an interview given to Leisure TVThibault Marchand returned to his elimination. “I think I made a very nice dish, which has never been done elsewhere. You should never make a mistake in this kind of competition, unfortunately, I took a big risk. Certainly, the risk paid off in terms of the taste and aesthetics of my plate, but the cheese I added didn’t flow enough. It’s a shame, but that’s the game.”he reacted.
After his elimination, he spoke at length with Pierre Gagnaire. “He told me that he wasn’t worried about my career and that he enjoyed working with me during those weeks. I think we had a good fusion and that we were quite complicit. We laughed a lot. It was a great pleasure and an immense pride to work alongside him.he clarified.
Thibault Marchand also spoke about his career within the Hidden Brigade. “When I entered the competition, I came with a lot of hope. So, it was a real blow when I was eliminated on the first day of the competition. I was very demoralized… This second chance allowed me to show people, my loved ones and my wife that I really had my place in Top chef. I made it almost halfway through the competition and presented dishes that suited me, so I’m proud of myself.”he confessed.
