Video: why are Japanese women so slim?

Completely without a diet: In Japan, above all, a very well thought-out diet ensures that obesity cannot even arise. In the video you can see what the crucial secret is!

Sometimes one could be jealous of Japan: when viewed from a distance, people there never seem to increase, or even grow older. This is total nonsense, of course – but there are reasons why this impression can arise. In fact, the Japanese food culture differs from ours in many ways – and that brings benefits for weight, health and appearance!

Smaller portions

In Japanese cuisine, small treats are often served that are very lovingly prepared. This goes hand in hand with the fact that the portions are generally a bit smaller than we are used to. As a result, less is eaten overall.

Don't eat on the go

Of course, eating a candy bar on the subway in the morning isn't forbidden in Japan – but it's at least very unusual. Culturally, food is seen there as a separate process that requires full attention. Eating in front of the TV is also rather unusual. This more conscious handling also slows down the pace of eating – and the stomach has more time to signal that it is full.

More fish

In Japanese cuisine there is also meat and poultry – but the focus is clearly on fish and seafood. As a result, many diseases that are favored by high meat consumption have no chance from the start. And: The high proportion of omega-3 fatty acids in fish is also good for soft, clean skin.

Less fat

Fried tempura is a Japanese specialty – and is usually served as a side dish alongside low-fat food. In general, Japanese cuisine tends to steam, cook or grill – classic frying with a lot of fat is an exception.

Healthier dessert

A rich dessert is not provided in Japanese cuisine – often there is simply fresh fruit after the meal. The sugary and fatty desserts, which of course are also available, are served much less often – and then in smaller portions than we are used to.
