According to “Le Figaro”, the Secretary General of Defense and National Security issued a Vigipirate alert bulletin linked to several suspicious packages.

Stéphane Bouillon, General Secretariat for Defense and National Security (SGDSN), communicated Monday, December 12 to the government and all French state actors a Vigipirate alert bulletin. In this note, who has been able to consult Le Figaro, it informs about the sending of several suspicious packages to European private and state institutions, all related to the conflict in Ukraine. Several Ukrainian embassies, notably that of Paris, have received parcels containing blood and animal eyes.
The bulletin also alerts to a number of incidents recorded in Spain, where companies and public bodies have received letters containing incendiary or explosive substances. At the Ukrainian embassy in Madrid, a security guard was slightly injured in the fingers when opening one of these parcel bombs. An arms company, Instalaza, which supplies weapons to Ukraine, was targeted by a similar letter. In other countries of the European Union, space and armament infrastructures have also been the target.

“It is advisable to communicate both with our administrations and with local authorities and operators of vital importance on the conduct to be adopted”, writes the SGDSN in its note. The bulletin specifies that most of the suspicious packages identified since the end of November are of similar appearance, namely brown boxes contained in wooden boxes.
The SGDSN therefore encourages French public institutions to check the parcels received with X-rays and, in the slightest doubt, indicates above all not to open them, but to wait for the intervention of the specialized services of the State.
