In the end, customers paid up to 59.99 euros for an imaginary sticker that never arrived and should have cost less than five euros. Without this sticker and without the correct classification category, motorists are liable to a fine of 68 euros, which can go up to 450 euros.

It is important to keep in mind that all motorized vehicles are concerned, including two-wheelers, utility vehicles and heavy goods vehicles. Six different levels of classification exist: a less polluting vehicle has a criterion of 1 or 2, while the most polluting can go up to 6.
