(CercleFinance.com) – Vinci announces that it has been awarded by Haropa Port the implementation of a high voltage electrical connection system for liners on three quays intended for cruise reception at the tip of Florida at Haropa Port – Le Havre, a 25 million euro project.
It concerns the turnkey construction of an electric current conversion plant connected to the public distribution network to power cruise ships, the modification of a technical hangar and the associated civil engineering works.
Dockside ship electrical connection is a solution for supplying ships with electricity from the local network, thereby reducing their dependence on onboard diesel generators. It is intended to become the standard in Europe by 2030.
