Mick Schumacher suffered a violent crash during qualifying for the Saudi Arabian F1 Grand Prix. He was taken to hospital but is conscious.
German driver Mick Schumacher, the son of Michael Schumacher, was the victim of a very violent exit from the track on Saturday during qualifying for the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Saudi Arabia at the Jeddah circuit.
Mick Schumacher, 23, lost control of his Haas-Ferrari in a series of fast turns and hit the low wall bordering the track at high speed.
The session was interrupted by a red flag.
An ambulance immediately went to the scene of the accident but no precise information was communicated on his state of health.
“We heard Mick was conscious, exited his vehicle and was being directed to a medical facility,” his Haas team tweeted.
