German driver Mick Schumacher, the son of Michael Schumacher, was the victim of a very violent exit from the track on Saturday during qualifying for the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Saudi Arabia at the Jeddah circuit.

Mick Schumacher, 23, lost control of his Haas-Ferrari in a series of fast turns and hit the low wall bordering the track at high speed.

“We heard Mick was conscious, exited his vehicle and was being directed to a medical facility,” his Haas team tweeted.
