Virgin River fans could wait a long time for Season 5, according to one of its stars. Alexandra Breckenridge, who plays the heroine of the series Melinda Monroe, revealed the information in Instagram stories last week, where she explained: “We were meant to start [le tournage] in March, but it was postponed so… I don’t know.“
“Hope we will resume in the summer. It would be nice to shoot in Vancouver in the summer rather than the winter.“The actress did not provide a clear explanation as to the reasons for this postponement, she went on to explain:”To be honest with you, I’m tired of filming in Vancouver in the winter. I’m not really in a rush to do it again, actually.“
By detailing the shooting conditions, we can better understand his lack of enthusiasm: “It is really cold. And when you’re out in sandals and little outfits because it’s supposed to be midsummer … not great!“
Season 4 on the rails
Don’t panic, however! The fourth season of Virgin River has yet to air and while this postponement announced by Alexandra Breckenridge is somewhat disappointing, it is not certain that Netflix viewers will have to wait longer than usual between seasons. 4 and 5.
Speaking of Season 4, last November Martin Henderson (who plays Jack Sheridan) explained that the post-production phase is going smoothly. He posted a photo of himself on Instagram showing him in the dubbing booth:
“I’m doing a bit of post-production on season 4 of #virginriver. And I make sure everything runs smoothly and is satisfying for the best fans ever! Everyone have a nice weekend wherever you are“he wrote on his post.
This season 4 will arrive in 2022 on Netflix and we must probably count on 2023 for season 5!
