VISA always more crypto – While the (false) rumor circulated about a possible break with the universe of cryptocurrencies and Web 3, VISAthe American payments giant, once again confirms its love for the world of crypto-assets by extending its partnership with Fold an application that allows you to make purchases and recover – in cash back – satoshis or even a whole bitcoin. Indeed, the two companies confirm that they are setting out to conquer the world.

VISA and Fold: a partnership for Bitcoin
This partnership is not new. The two companies have been associated since 2020. It was therefore a question of launching a debit card which allowed, as we mentioned, rewards in BTC during your purchases instead of points or other traditional fiat currencies.
From now on, VISA will therefore be the exclusive partner of the Fold network for its prepaid card products in North America. But also – and this is where things are changing – in Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Building on its success, this cashback system will therefore extend beyond North America as part of this new agreement. Fold will indeed provide ” bitcoin on-ramps outside the US with VISA, as specified Will ReevesCEO of Fold, to our colleagues at CoinDesk.
Since the launch of this card in partnership with Fold, these are $30 million in bitcoins who have been distributedonly reinforcing the strategy of the payment giant, which is constantly transforming blockchain trials.
