For our Rencontre podcast, director and screenwriter Yann Gozlan tells us the secrets behind the making of his new film, Visions. In line with a film like Black Box, the filmmaker plays with our perceptions, by pushing the cursors.
What is it about ?
A confirmed airline pilot, Estelle leads, between two long-haul flights, a perfect life with Guillaume, her loving and protective husband. One day, by chance, in an airport corridor, she crosses paths with Ana, a photographer with whom she had a passionate affair twenty years earlier. Estelle is then far from imagining that this reunion will drag her into a nightmarish spiral and tip her life into the irrational…
After Boite noire with Pierre Niney, Yann Gozlan signs Visions, a Hitchcockian and paranoid thriller with Mathieu Kassovitz, Diane Krüger and Marta Nieto. In this new feature film, co-written by Yann Gozlan, Michel Fessler, Aurélie Valat, Jean-Baptiste Delafon, with the participation of Audrey Diwan, Yann Gozlan plays with our perceptions. One of the strong ideas of the filmmaker was to make a film “playful“, in which “the viewer is constantly questioning“. Nightmare, paranoia or reality? The spectator embarks on 2 hours of suspense, in a musical atmosphere reminiscent of the cult film Basic Instinct.

Yann Gozlan will also tell us at the end of the interview if a reunion is possible with Pierre Nineywhich he has already directed twice (An Ideal Man and Black Box).
