Vivendi: Canal+ and Havas drive growth in the first quarter – 04/25/2022 at 08:54


(AOF) – Vivendi generated revenue of 2.377 billion euros in the first quarter of 2022, up 13.4%, including 7.9% organic growth. This increase is mainly due to the increase in revenue from Canal+ Group (+6.5%), Havas Group (+17.7%) and Vivendi Village (+€20 million). It also includes the contribution of Prisma Media (+€73 million), consolidated from June 1, 2021.

Canal+ Group’s turnover amounted to 1.446 million euros, up 6.5%, of which +6.5% in France and +6.2% internationally. Studiocanal’s revenue increased by 4.5% in one year, due in particular to several theatrical successes and the good performance of the catalog.

During the first quarter, Canal+ Group strengthened its content offering and continued its international development.

The excellent operating performance of Havas (+17.7% to 591 million euros) results from the strong commercial momentum recorded in recent quarters, reinforced by the launch of innovative offers (in particular Havas CX and Havas Market). All geographic areas recorded very good organic growth, supported by all divisions.

Editis, on the other hand, saw its activity decline by 1.7% to 160 million euros due to a strong basis of comparison and a market in general decline of 1% over one year.
