Vivendi said on Monday that it was continuing to study the group’s split plan and reported a 5.4% increase in its turnover in the first quarter. The group specifies in a press release that it is currently studying the possibility of a partial split from Vivendi where the Canal+ Group, Havas and the company bringing together the publishing and distribution assets would become independent entities listed on the stock exchange.

For the time being, the continuation of the demerger project is subject to the approval of the Supervisory Board.

Vivendi also reported an increase in its turnover in the first quarter, driven by the solid results of the Lagardère group.

The French media group recorded a turnover of 4.28 billion euros in the first quarter, up 5.4% year-on-year.

Over the period, the Lagardère group’s turnover stood at 1.88 billion euros, up 8.9% at constant exchange rates and scope compared to the first quarter of 2023.
