(CercleFinance.com) – The Vivendi group announces that it has today entered into an agreement for the sale of 100% of the capital of Editis with the International Media Invest (IMI) group, a subsidiary of the CMI group.
The agreement was concluded after having obtained the opinion of the representative bodies of the personnel of the companies Vivendi and Editis, specifies the press release from Vivendi.
Following obtaining authorization from the European Commission to carry out the merger with the Lagardère group, IMI will have to be approved by the European Commission as the appropriate buyer.
Vivendi adds that the transaction remains subject to IMI obtaining various authorizations but that its completion should be effective ‘by early October 2023 at the latest’.
