(CercleFinance.com) – Vivendi announces its intention to use ‘all legal means at its disposal’ to contest the decision of the board of directors of Telecom Italia to accept KKR’s offer for the acquisition of the TIM network.
According to the French group, holder of almost a quarter of the capital of the Italian operator, this decision taken ‘without having previously informed and requested the vote of the shareholders of Telecom Italia, violates the applicable governance rules’.
‘The board of directors of Telecom Italia deprived each shareholder of the right to express their opinion at a meeting, as well as the associated right of withdrawal for shareholders in disagreement,’ he asserts in particular.
