Vivendi: the group posts a net profit of -1 billion euros


(CercleFinance.com) – Vivendi publishes revenue of 9,595 ME for the 2022 financial year, up +5.1% at constant scope and exchange rates (lcc) compared to 2021.

Business was mainly driven by the performance of Havas (+€424 million), the growth of Canal+ Group (+€100 million) and the very strong growth of Gameloft (+€56 million) .

At the same time, the group’s EBITDA came out at 868 ME, up 24.6% LFL.

Nevertheless, net income, group share shows a loss of 1,010 million euros (-0.98 euro per basic share), compared to a profit of 24,692 million euros in 2021 (22.94 euros per share basis) which is explained by the capital gain on the deconsolidation of 70% of UMG.

“2022 has been a solid year for Vivendi. Our main businesses showed very good momentum, thus ensuring a more than satisfactory performance for the Group, even though Universal Music Group (UMG) left our scope of consolidation in 2021,” commented Yannick Bolloré, Chairman of Vivendi’s Supervisory Board.
