They master the current WLAN standard Wifi 6 (WLAN-ax), which above all gives wireless connections a speed boost. Devices such as laptops and mobile phones must also have Wifi 6 on the box in order to be able to receive and send data in the standard, but devices without Wifi 6 also connect the two FritzBoxes in the older Wifi 4 (WLAN-n) and Wifi 5 standards (wifi-ac).
FritzBox 7590 AX: Current DSL top model
The FritzBox 7590 AX is a great router with a wide range of functions and easy operation. In the test, it averaged up to 922 megabits per second at 5 gigahertz and did a little better than its predecessor FritzBox 7590. However, the older model was faster at the 2.4 gigahertz frequency. Anyone who already owns a 7590 can skip the upgrade to the AX model. Everyone else does little wrong with the current DSL top model from AVM.
FritzBox 7530 AX: price tip for DSL connections
If you are looking for a cheap DSL FritzBox: The FritzBox 7530 AX has sufficient WLAN performance for small households and, like the FritzBox 7590 AX, is also suitable for supervectoring connections. It overtook the older price tip FritzBox 7530 in the test and is in no way inferior to more expensive models in terms of functions and operation.
