Voices on the game – Coach Jaissle: “It could have been clearer”

Salzburg clearly won a classy start to the Bundesliga season against Austria 3-0 – and according to Bulls coach Matthias Jaissle, the victory could have been even better. Here are the votes for the game:

Matthias Jaissle (Salzburg coach): “We clinched a deserved win. All in all it was a really good performance. It took us a bit to get in. We had a lot of chances to score, especially in the second half, where it could have been clearer. But Austria is a good team. We were also lucky in the early stages, we know that. We were in the fortunate position that the opponent didn’t take advantage of the chances. Overall, we’re on the right track.” Manfred Schmid (Austria coach): “Salzburg’s win is okay because of the second half. It was balanced in the first half. We had the first big chance but didn’t take it. Then there were great chances for both sides. After the 0:1 we still had a chance to equalize, but again we didn’t use it. If Salzburg gets spaces on the offensive and plays, then it will be difficult. We will go home disappointed, but I think the team did a good job.”
