Strangers blew up an ATM shortly after 2.30 a.m. on Wednesday in the Geissbüel industrial park in Volketswil. As the Zurich canton police wrote in a statement, the detonation destroyed the automatic machine built into the facade and significantly damaged the affected building.
Despite the manhunt initiated immediately, the perpetrators were able to flee. According to the current state of the investigation, it can be assumed that the strangers were able to steal cash worth around one hundred thousand francs.
