(CercleFinance.com) – Volkswagen is expanding the range of engines available for the new Passat with the opening, from today, of pre-sales of two new eHybrid models.
The plug-in hybrid engines develop a cumulative power of 150 kW (204 hp) and 200 kW (272 hp) for ‘a maximum range of more than 120 km in all-electric mode, and more than 140 km in the city’, says the manufacturer.
Two new turbo diesel (TDI) engines are also available: the 90 kW (122 hp) Passat TDI will be the entry-level Diesel version.
The new Passat can already be configured with a mild hybrid engine (eTSI) and a 110 kW (150 hp) turbo diesel engine (TDI) since autumn 2023.
