Volodymyr Zelensky offered to carry out attacks inside Russia, according to an article by washington post released on saturdaybased on classified US intelligence documents detailing communications by the Ukrainian president with his top aides and chiefs of staff.
Mr. Zelensky is said to have proposed, among other things, to“Occupying Russian border towns”of “bombing a pipeline carrying Russian oil to Hungary” and to carry out strikes in Russia with long-range missiles or using drones.

However, the article reports several cases where it is the Ukrainian president who curbs the military ambitions of his subordinates.
The objective of these attacks would be “to give kyiv leverage in talks with Moscow”specify the documents.
Asked by the washington postthe President of Ukraine described the content of these documents as “fantasies”while defending his right to use unconventional tactics to protect his country.
Until now, Westerners have been reluctant to supply these weapons to kyiv, arguing that they could be used to strike Russian territory.
