Vox Machinae: the giant mecha combat simulator will land on Quest 2 and offer a single-player campaign!

Vox Machinethe battle simulation game of mechs the most successful to date in virtual reality, was found a release date for Meta Quest 2, March 3. Until then still in the early access phase since its publication on the blinds in September 2018 and only reserved for the world of PC (with or without VR)he is about to disembark in good and due form in a v1.0 full of surprises.

The independent studio Space Bullet, which currently has a handful of developers, has come a long way. The team having started with three developers as early as 2014 on the first development kits of theOculus Rift (DK1, DK2), was fortunately supported by the fans and their enthusiasm. The team grew little by little and gradually detached itself from the multiplayer mode to immerse itself in the realization of the long-awaited single-player campaign by the players.

The narration will therefore now be part of the game alongside a multiplayer mode that has been widely tested over the years. The campaign will take the player alongside his teammates to wage interplanetary battles, seated comfortably in the oh so realistic cabins of these steel giants. The emphasis of the narrative will be on the interactions between the character and his team within theHorizon Mining Corporation (in the Security Division), whose mining bases were attacked by an unknown alien threat. The campaign promises multiple twists and takes us on a journey through the universe.

The studio announces, through its latest teaser, the release of the title on the Meta Quest 2 platform only. the Quest 1 will therefore be set aside, not for planned obsolescence, but for performance concerns. We don’t have any details as to how good the title will be on the standalone platform, but it is clear that graphic concessions will be made to make the game fluid in all circumstances.

All versions will therefore receive the new single-player campaign and the studio says that multiplayer will be cross play for cross-platform battles up to sixteen players (or an AI) simultaneously in game modes ranging from team death match passing by the protection of convoys of ores or the waves of enemies! The game proposes to drive five kinds of mechs that can be personalizedbut also to dismember during combat.

If you are still not convinced, know that it is about the most beautiful simulation of mechs in virtual reality today.
