Unboxing of the white TKL Pro

Before moving on to the really technical aspect and all our appreciations concerning the white TKL Pro keyboard, note that the product packaging is quite satisfactory. Simple, the keyboard arrives in a box displaying, on its different sides, the characteristics and design of the product. Opening the package, we find the following items:

Design and chassis of the white TKL Pro

White color, sleek and stylish keyboard

What is worth noting, right from the start, is the format offered with the Vulcan TKL Pro keyboard. Indeed, it is intended to be compact. Thus, ROCCAT has sacrificed the digital pad in order to offer a product that is lighter, smaller and above all more easily transportable. If the absence of these keys can bother some players, especially when taking notes or otherwise, we found this choice quite wise, if indeed we use, almost exclusively, the keyboard to play . Note right away that ROCCAT offers a keyboard with said pad and a wrist rest, the Vulcan Pro model, for nearly 200 €. Unlike this compact version sold at around 160 €.

Moreover, and this could not have escaped you in view of the many mentions and photographs, we opted for the white version of the TKL Pro keyboard from ROCCAT. Black or gray being the two colors most present in the setup, white gives the change. On our side, we found this version really nice. The gray of the chassis mixed with white, present on the keys and the perimeter, gives an appearance very sleek and elegant on the keyboard.

And if we could believe that this color is dirtier than black or gray, in reality it is not. On the other hand, just like for the black version of the TKL Pro, the gray chassis reveals the dust and hair of your pets. But the fact that the keys are high and have no covers makes it easier to clean the gaps and nooks.

Robust and practical chassis

Weighing around 660g, the white TKL Pro is nonetheless a fairly robust keyboard. Thanks to its aluminum frame, with a brushed effect, the keyboard gains both in lightness and robustness. It is then easy to move it quickly, even during a game. We should also add that due to its compact size, it is relatively easy to slip the keyboard into a backpack or any luggage. However, its weight and its buffers, fixed on two small foldable risers allowing an elevation of up to 30°, give it a good anchorage on a traditional mouse pad, regardless of the material. No slipping, no skidding, everything holds perfectly well.

We should also mention the fact that the keyboard is equipped with a detachable and braided USB-C cable. Two small details that will be important for all players who want to take their keyboard anywhere. The braided appearance of the cable makes it all the more resistant to possible damage and thus makes it more durable, for years and years of use (provided you don’t abuse it violently, of course).

Good dimensions

In addition, the TKL Pro White keyboard offers quite satisfactory dimensions : 3.40 cm in height, 36 cm in width and 13.33 cm in length. So, as you can see from these stats, this model doesn’t take up too much space on your desktop. This space saving allowed by this compact version will most likely suit all those who play with a high sensitivity on the mouse and need to make large and wide movements with it. In addition, the players thus have their hands closer together, for more reactivity and less encumbers.

About the thickness, more particularly: it is relatively correct. We don’t have any wrist pain, as the keyboard isn’t too raised. Our fingers aren’t numb either, as our hands are flat enough, so as not to strain us too much.

A beautiful luminosity and allure

As with many of these keyboards, ROCCAT is once again offering a lighting system with the TKL Pro White. Immediately, we will notice that the gray and brushed chassis allows beautiful color reflection. The white of the whole favoring, also, greatly this rendering more than satisfactory for the eyes. The mixture of these two tones brings a good dynamic, generally. In the same way, the absence of lower covers on the keys makes it possible to take advantage more of the lighting and gives a nice look keyboard.

Software that goes with it all

In order to manage the lighting, you can, of course, rely on special software, the ROCCAT Swarm. It can be found directly on the ROCCAT site, and will require you to download and install it, in addition to restarting your PC, before you can enjoy it. If all these necessary manipulations can seem quite frustrating and time-consuming, the game is worth the effort: we have no less than eight possible effects, to be configured, ranging from the wave, to the 2.0 beat, to the wave or even to the snake effect, to name but a few examples. Thus, all players will be able to find their account there, on this point.

Efficiency and little more

High efficiency

Stake, efficiency is on point. We were able to try the TKL Pro White keyboard on various games, and in particular Call of Duty: Warzone. What can I say, except perhaps: “exceptional! “. In the past, we have been able to test several products from different manufacturers, and the conclusion is clear for this product from ROCCAT: the speed of action, the precision of the strike, the slight rebound effect, the absence of noise too important make TKL Pro a very good keyboardwhich will suit both beginners and PC video game enthusiasts.

Moreover, on this subject, remember that this keyboard model has Titan Optimal switches, with a 1.4mm actuation and 3.6mm stroke distancewhich offer speed, robustness and efficiency. The mark indicates a lifespan, for the keys, more than consistent, approaching 100 million clicks. What more could you ask for, really? The white TKL Pro keyboard offers speed, efficiency and all with class.

Multimedia keys, in addition

You probably didn’t miss it, two buttons for multimedia, allowing to manage the general sound of the PC, are laid out on the upper right part. The wheel gives everyone the possibility of reducing or increasing the volume, and this quickly. Conversely, by activating the button located to the left of the wheel, you can mute all the sounds coming from your machine.
