Khary Payton, the interpreter of Ezekiel in “The Walking Dead”, revealed to be disappointed with the treatment of his character in the final season of the horror series.
We will have to wait until Monday, November 21 to find out if The Walking Dead fans have appreciated or not the final episode of the horror series. But even before its broadcast, an actor in the program did not hesitate to confide his disappointment with the content of the final season, broadcast every Monday on OCS.
Asked by our colleagues from Insider, the interpreter of Ezekiel, former self-proclaimed ruler of the Kingdom, Khary Payton revealed that he was disappointed with the intrigues of his character in the eleventh season of the series. “I’m not happy at all. (…) But that’s one of the things that happens when you have a show that has so many dynamic and interesting characters. With 48-minute episodes it’s just not sufficient” he said in particular.
Difficult to prove the latter wrong, Ezekiel – until then considered a leading character among the survivors – having been relegated to the rank of simple secondary character during this final season. The treatment of the character will therefore leave a taste of unfinished business in the mouth of its interpreter, but also in those of many fans of the series.
A handsome player despite everything, the 50-year-old actor paid tribute to the work of his playing partners, revealing that his disappointment was only the price to pay to ensure that each of the protagonists could benefit from the time of presence at the screen needed to complete all storylines in the series finale.
And who knows if Ezekiel will not have the opportunity to get his own spin-off, like Daryl Dixon, or Maggie and Negan in Dead City? The final episode of the final season of The Walking Dead will be broadcast this Monday, November 21 on OCS Choc, and on the OCS platform on demand.
