Devices similar to USB sticks serve as a medium, with which one can unlock access to Bitcoin & Co. But even here there is no 100% security. Anyone who loses the hardware wallet including separate keys will have little joy with the lost cryptos.
Added to this are the cuts in comfort. Because before you have access to your coins, you have to dig out the hardware wallet, find the pin, unlock it and connect it to the software. If you then want to send Bitcoin, the fun starts all over again. All of this is, especially in turbulent market phases, time that can cost you a lot of money in the worst case. If you want to sell your coins quickly, for example, you can quickly miss the ideal time while you are still struggling with your hardware wallet.
