The new series “WaPo Duisburg” has a good chance of success

Many are familiar with the crime series “WaPo Bodensee” and “WaPo Berlin”, but now there is a new production. Since January 11, 2022, the “WaPo Duisburg” on Tuesdays at 6:50 p.m. in the first and already the first episode “Jump Into Cold Water” had great ratings last week.

An unbelievable 2.721 million viewers watched the first episode. The second episode airs today “Disappeared” and it seems the new crime series is a real hit. No wonder, if you look at the cast, it’s immediately clear that it’s worth tuning in here. The strict boss, Maria Kruppka, is played by Karen Böhne, 58, and the hard-working assistant Lena Preser by Romy Vreden, 28. The investigative team consists of Arda Turan (Yasemin Cetinkaya, 33), Gerhard Jäger (Markus John, 59) and the heartthrob Frank van Dijk (Niklas Osterloh, 32).

The Gzsz star just shared a “WaPo Duisburg” post on his Instagram profile and thanked his team for the great cooperation. The 32-year-old revealed to the first what his role in the crime series is all about: “The water is Frank van Dijk’s home and he feels very comfortable on board the ‘WaPo’. He is the boatman and patrols up and down the river – preferably at high speed, of course. He’s also charming. Frank simply belongs to the ‘WaPo’ like the wind and the water.”

Mathieu Carrière slips into the role of Antonio Rossi in “Rote Rosen”.

Again and again stars and celebrities surprise with guest appearances in the popular telenovela “Rote Rosen”. In mid-February, viewers can look forward to theater and film star Mathieu Carrière, 71. The actor will slip into the role of the charming Antonio Rossi and cause quite a stir. A question that inevitably comes up: will Carrière perhaps stay longer in Lüneburg?

Because the role of the 71-year-old has a dark secret. Rossi suddenly turns up in the hospital and is particularly interested in the life story of Britta (Jelena Mitschke, 43). At the same time, a painting causes unrest. Could Antonio Rossi be someone else? At second glance, the stranger bears a certain resemblance to Britta’s father, Jakob Fährmann. Didn’t the artist take his own life back then and is now reappearing under a false name? If so, Mathieu Carrière should be part of the cast of “Rote Rosen” a little longer.

“Rote Rosen” runs Monday to Friday at 2:10 p.m. in the first and the day before in the ARD media library.
