War in Ukraine: a 100 million euro villa belonging to Nikita Mazepin and her father seized in Italy

The bad news is piling up for Nikita Mazepin. Ousted from the Haas team before the start of the Formula 1 season, due to the war waged by Russia in Ukraine, the Russian driver saw one of his villas, estimated at more than 100 million euros, be seized in Italy.

Nikita Mazepin and her father Dimitri, a Russian chemical billionaire known to be close to Vladimir Putin, are among the many Russian oligarchs and parliamentarians on the European Union’s blacklist. For this reason, the Italian authorities took an interest in this residence, and placed it under sequestration within the framework of the economic sanctions imposed on Russia.

The villa, named Rocky Ram, is located in Porto Cervo, in the northeast of Sardinia, and its value is estimated at more than 100 million euros. The Mazepin family were not the only ones to suffer the consequences of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

In recent weeks, Italy has blocked several hundred million euros of real estate, including villas and luxury yachts, linked to Russian oligarchs.
