War in Ukraine: for General Jean-Paul Paloméros, “we must expect at some point that the Ukrainian army will collapse”

General Jean-Paul Paloméros was the guest on Saturday March 12 of Infos Du Monde, on CNEWS. The former Air Force Chief of Staff was questioned about the Ukrainian army’s resistance to Russian troops.

According to him, “it is to be expected at some point that the Ukrainian army will crumble” and added that this will not be due to “a lack of courage, or a lack of will, just a disproportion of strengths”.

Russia has committed more than 150,000 troops to the battle, AFP reported.

On Tuesday March 8, a senior Pentagon official estimated that “2,000 to 4,000 Russian soldiers died in Ukraine”.

On the Ukrainian side, the Russian Ministry of Defense counts 2,870 dead. However, the Ukrainian army has taken the decision not to provide any more human tolls.
