At least 40 soldiers and a dozen civilians were killed on Thursday February 24 in the early hours of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told the press.

“I know that more than 40 Ukrainian soldiers were killed and several dozen wounded and there is talk of a dozen civilians killedacross the country, Oleksiy Arestovych said. Those losses were caused by air and missile strikes on Thursday morning, he said.
