Joe Biden was also due to meet the leaders of the nine Bucharest countries (B9), which together with Poland constitute the eastern flank of NATO, and are the most concerned about the Russian threat: Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, as well as Bulgaria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Romania and Slovakia.
