Warsaw declares to be ready to deliver 14 Leopard to kyiv, but needs for that the agreement of Berlin, producer of these tanks.

Poland’s prime minister called Sunday “unacceptable» Berlin’s refusal to supply heavy Leopard tanks to kyiv, which urgently demands them whenever the Russians are on the offensive.

Germany’s attitude is unacceptable. It’s been almost a year since the war started. Innocent people die every day. Russian bombs wreak havoc in Ukrainian cities. Civilian objects are attacked, women and children are murdered“, said Mateusz Morawiecki to the PAP agency.

His statements come two days after a meeting of fifty countries on the American base of Ramstein in Germany. Ukraine’s allies there announced substantial new arms deliveries to Ukraine but failed to agree on the delivery of heavy tanks, despite repeated requests from Ukraine.

The Polish Prime Minister said he was waiting “a clear statementof Berlin authorizing the sending of the Leopards, of which it is a producer, by countries which have them.

Poland, which declares that it is ready to deliver 14 Leopards to kyiv, indicates that it is in discussions with about fifteen countries on this subject. If Berlin refuses to supply Leopards to kyiv,we will put together a small coalition of countries ready to donate some of their modern equipment, their modern tanks, to a struggling Ukraine“, said the head of the Mateusz Morawiecki.

On Saturday, the three Foreign Ministers of the Baltic countries had for their part urged Berlin “to supply Leopard tanks to Ukraine now“, invoking “special responsibility” of Germany, “leading European power“.
