While the war is still raging in Ukraine, the Oryx site, a specialist in military affairs, reveals that the Russian army has lost an astronomical amount of gear since the start of the offensive. This could potentially increase the human toll and provide the Ukrainian army with additional equipment.

The numbers are enough to make you dizzy. According to the Oryx website, which specializes in military affairs, the Russian army has suffered colossal material losses since the start of the war in Ukraine. This frightening inventory reports thousands of lost machines.

This type of census is of particular interest since it is carried out using photos and therefore provides concrete evidence for each machine destroyed. The Oryx site claims that 1,200 Russian tanks have been immobilized. By way of comparison, the French armies have only 200 Leclerc tanks. There are also more than 2,000 armored support or troop transport vehicles which are now out of service.

More than 400 functional tanks abandoned

The Air Force also lost around fifty aircraft in this war. In turn, this material hecatomb can be synonymous with human disaster since the machines were served by crews or transported soldiers.

In addition, more than 400 tanks were abandoned in working order. The Ukrainian army thus finds itself better equipped than before the start of the war thanks to its enemy. A shame that could well last because Russia still has several thousand tanks in reserve to send on the ground. Subject however to finding the tankers to pilot them.
