Since the beginning of the Russian invasion 14 days ago, several million Ukrainians have left their homes to flee the bombardments.
Among these civilians, a certain number of orphans. On February 24, several of them fled the combat zones. In Donestk, the residents of the orphanage traveled more than 800 km to reach that of Artek, in the suburbs of Kiev, before being evacuated again to the east of the country to Perekhrestya, near the Hungarian border.
An Exodus to the West
Some flee to other cities, such as Liev or Ouzhhorod, others prefer to leave the country and find refuge in neighboring countries. In total, more than 2 million have emigrated to Poland, Germany or even France.
This Wednesday, March 9, Russians and Ukrainians agreed on the establishment of a series of humanitarian corridors to evacuate civilians from besieged and bombarded cities, announced Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.
