Warcraft 3: Reforged: New coming in June!

Although Warcraft III: Reforged disappointed many, many players when it was released and still today, some hopes remain for the remaster of one of Blizzard’s most iconic games. However, mutated in its silence for months now, the American company has had nothing to reveal about it for quite a while now. Finally… Until Saturday, May 28, 2022!

Warcraft III: Reforged: A Mike Ybarra teaser

Whilehe announced soberly on Twitter having launched a stream on Valorant, World of Warcraft and V Rising, the director of Blizzard Entertainment, Mike Ybarra, was arrested by a user. His request had nothing to do with the original tweet since he was asking point-blank if he had any news to share about the Warcraft III: Reforged development team.

This type of incongruous tweet is quite common, and it is quite rare that the recipient pays attention to it. However, this time Mike Ybarra announced rather surprising news: news of this team is planned “soon”, for the month of June even more precisely!

What is striking is not only the informality of the news, but also and above all what it evokes: news in June? Could it be that, as we have assumed for several weeks now, the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase is the scene of announcements dedicated to Blizzard? Pay attention on June 12, just in case!

Major expectations finally met?

After a year 2021 marked by the very disturbing absolute silence of Blizzard about Warcraft III: Reforged, it is appropriate that expectations continue to grow on the side of the players. But, if we now know that we will finally have news next June, it is difficult to say precisely what will happen since naturally nothing has been announced for the moment, not even the slightest clue.

Among the main expectations, there are of course the ranked games whose absence after more than two years will have cost the firm and the game dearly. Rankings and player profiles are also at the heart of the expectations of many players, although possibly more anecdotal than “ranked”.

Finally, we can possibly expect the deployment of the graphic improvements which had been announced from the first announcements of the remaster but which unfortunately never saw the light of day. Say goodbye to reworked cinematics and other shaders, resulting in the terrible marketing carnage you no doubt heard about when the game was released.

Could this finally be the opportunity for Blizzard to repair the errors made during the deployment of the game? Can we finally hope for a decent version that is faithful to the original work? The answer in the next few days!

Just a month before it is held, some rumors already indicate that the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase could be the scene of many announcements for most of the firm’s studios. Maybe even news from Blizzard games, World of Warcraft: Dragonflight and Diablo for example?
