Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin doesn’t come out until November 17, but it’s obviously not too early to do a good big recap of what the title will offer when it’s released. It was in video that the publisher reminded us of the presence of Conquest mode as well as the existence of the Haunted, the third faction revealed to date. Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin do not forget to specify that a fourth faction is planned for launch, but this has still not been revealed.
This preview, however, was an opportunity to present in detail features that we were not necessarily expecting but that we are very happy to discover. First of all there is the map editor, the creative tool par excellence. Frontier claims players will be able to create maps with the same tools developers use. The map editor allows, among other things, to create a battlefield by arranging the bases, strategic points but also the dressing, in particular everything relating to decorations and reliefs. This feature should mean important community content since Frontier will give us the opportunity to share our creations via Workshop. This name actually hides a menu where it will be possible to download and evaluate all the maps, regardless of the platform on which they were created.
More surprising than the map editor, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin shows army customization in picture. Concretely, the title allows us to modify the colors of our units. Official color palettes of Games Workshop will be available but the idea is above all to have a visually unique army. The scene editor is aimed at image lovers. Thanks to this tool, it is possible to create visuals worthy of official captures. Rather easy when it is possible to change the character animations frame by frame, modify the depth of field and even add filters.
As a reminder, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin will be available on November 17 on PC, Xbox Series and PS5. Furthermore, the Deluxe or Ultimate version will give access to the title three days in advance.
