Warzone: Casual players feel left out

The Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific community is upset that the weapon unlock system favors players with more game time.

Call of Duty Warzone Pacific Season 4 brought many changes to the game’s meta, including the arrival of the Marco 5 submachine gun which quickly established itself as the best in class in just a few days. We were also treated to several nerfs and buffs to other weapons that already exist in the Call of Duty battle royale.

These changes therefore encourage players to fire up the game and start unlocking or leveling up the new meta weapons and attachments. However, some players find this system to be unfair to those who only occasionally play the game.

The UGM-8 could soon become as popular as the Marco 5 on Warzone.

Reddit user “tcarnie” expressed his frustration with Warzone by describing the weapon system as “ridiculous”, even unbalancing the game to his liking.

The “unlock this weapon for a meta weapon” meta is ridiculous

He spoke about the new Season 4 weapons that got too powerful, too quickly: “I’m still playing enough, I’ve had the game since release and suffered through all the metas. But I don’t have time to build the H4 Blixen or the new submachine gun (Marco 5) and frankly it’s not fair to fight against a player who has.”

This sentiment is shared by many players in the comments of this Reddit post which has received over 400 upvotes at the time of writing this article. Maybe the developers will know how to do things differently when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 release at the end of 2022.
