Warzone Pacific Season 2: Locations, vehicles and more

A few days before the arrival of Season 2 of Warzone, the developers recently shared the roadmap for this new season, presenting all the new things to come.

After being delayed, Warzone Season 2 is now about to arrive. And after having lived an extremely long first season on Caldera, the players expect a lot from this new season.

And in an effort to get the fan hype going, the developers have just released the official roadmap for this season, showcasing all the new stuff coming to Warzone, Vanguard, and Zombies.

So without further ado, find out what are all the new features to come to the Battle Royale for season 2.

New Warzone Features

When Warzone Pacific Season 2 launches, players will be able to experience exciting new features that will shake up gameplay.

Among them, we can notably find Nebula V ammunition and bombs, redeployment balloons, and more.

Nebula V – Ammo and Bombs

Nebula V ammo is for large scale armaments, but it can also be used for small arms ammo and bombs, which are found in very small quantities around Caldera.

Nebula V Ammo

Classified as a combat upgrade in Warzone, Nebula V ammo is no more powerful than regular bullets, but it does have one major exception: when an Operator is downed by it, it emits a cloud of poisonous gas.

Anyone who tries to resuscitate this operator or is within a few feet of him will face complications similar to those of gas exposure from the area: coughing, blurred vision, and slight deterioration over time, whether at level of the player’s health or the duration of their gas mask.

The Nebula V is the big novelty of Warzone Season 2.

Nebula V Bombs

One of the rarest items in Warzone now is the Nebula V Bomb which is a locked briefcase filled with deadly gas with an explosive charge.

Once activated and placed in front of an operator, it explodes after a fixed countdown and cannot be disarmed or destroyed. The initial explosion inflicts heavy damage in a small radius before the gas spreads outside, where it will injure any operator not wearing a gas mask. The gas lingers for two minutes before dispersing or feeding gas to the area.

Portable Decontamination Stations (PDS)

The Portable Decontamination Station, Caldera’s new field gear, is a portable device that filters the air for several seconds, protecting anyone inside from Area Gas or Nebula V Gas.

Armored Transport Trucks

The Armored Transport Truck is home to some loot that might be of interest to you.

Armored Transport Trucks

Armored Transport Trucks are in heaven here, as the Axis has deployed several vehicles to transport Nebula V and its derivatives around Caldera.

These unstoppable steel behemoths roll at a distance in a set looping path, attacking those nearby with their twin turrets. Operators must also avoid the mines these trucks drop behind them, as well as the air support they call in if they break down.

When destroyed, armored transport trucks drop items of incredible value, including, in the rarest cases, an intact Nebula V bomb.

New locations

Nebula V is mostly found in factories and labs around Caldera.

Chemical Factory Warzone

chemical factory

The refinery between the Mines and the Docks, which once produced phosphate, has been repurposed and is now a newly built factory that spits out Nebula V.

This new chemical plant has a similar layout to the one it replaced, but with several notable differences, including enemy soldiers protecting the facility and a trap that can be triggered in the central building. There are several other interior spaces to explore, from the main floor of the factory to the watchtowers offering impressive views of the facility and its surroundings.

Underground Chemical Weapons Research Laboratories

According to current intelligence, the Axis operate seven research labs on the island, which they hide underground and guard with small squads of soldiers.

Expert trackers may have found these labs around Caldera before… but the average operative can find them by several hand-drawn yellow circles on their tactical map.

Other new features: Bomber planes and redeployment balloons

Nebula V isn’t the only new feature in Season 2, as players can now soar through the air aboard a new bomber plane or redeployment balloons.

The bomber plane is the new vehicle for Warzone Season 2.

bomber plane

The second air vehicle in Warzone’s Vanguard modes, the Bomber is a fearsome air-to-ground vehicle capable of destroying both infantry and vehicles.

Bombers can also destroy Supply Drops, which can fundamentally change how players approach these powerful weapon sources.

Activision

Warzone’s redeploy ball is clearly inspired by that of Apex Legends.

Redeployment Balloon

Represented on the tactical map by the icon of an airship, the redeployment balloon is a ticket back into the sky to reposition itself hundreds of meters from where you are.

Players can climb to the top of the balloon with a zipline attached to the balloon, then jump and deploy their parachute to cover great distances. Airplanes or weapons can destroy the redeployment balloon.

Once the balloon is deflated, players can spend a few hundred dollars to re-inflate it.

This new movement option can be exceptional for repositioning yourself on the map… provided you watch out for bogeys entering your airspace.

And there you have it, you now know all the great new features of Warzone Pacific Season 2.

As a reminder, this new season will officially begin on February 14.
