While Warzone’s new map, Caldera is causing contention within the community, the developers have confirmed that changes are coming in Season 2.
Despite nearly two years of waiting for a new life-size map in Warzone, Verdansk’s replacement hasn’t quite lived up to expectations. Since switching to the Pacific Era in Season 1, players have called Caldera boring, while others find this map easier to master.
Moreover, with the presence of countless bugs related to this map, it all led to the longest season in Battle Royale history.
Season 2 has even been delayed from its original date, to give the developers more time to “optimize” the game experience.
But alongside all these gameplay changes, raven confirmed that map changes are also on the way to improve Caldera.
While we don’t know exactly what changes will be made to the map, we do know where they will occur.
Over the past week, players have noticed that in certain areas of the map, entire buildings appear on the minimap but do not appear in the game.
While we weren’t sure why these buildings disappeared, Raven recently said on Twitter: “Maybe the map is aware of an upcoming change to this area in Season 2?”
Maybe the Map knows about a change coming to this area in Season 2? ?

Although the changes that will be made to this area will certainly not revolutionize Caldera, they could however contribute towards a first positive change on this much criticized map.
As a reminder, Warzone Pacific Season 2 will officially begin on February 14.
