Warzone’s Battle Royale Has Been A “Mess” Lately

Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific players are claiming that the battle royale has become unplayable again since the last updates.

Despite being successful for over 2 years now and the millions of players landing on Caldera and Rebirth Island every day, Warzone is still far from being a perfect game. Its transition from Verdansk to Caldera hasn’t been as smooth as expected, and the community has had to deal with countless bugs and glitches galore.

And since the March 23 Season 2 Reloaded update, some players find the game has gotten even worse.

Players who respawn on Rebirth are protected until they fire their parachute twice.

Among other things, we’ve seen major changes to the Rebirth Island map, Warzone’s smallest map. And some players find that matchmaking has become more complicated in recent days, making games rather unplayable for some complainers’ tastes.

It was on Reddit that a part of players complained by collecting hundreds of interesting interactions.

“Why does every game on Rebirth Island turn into a professional player tournament?”

SBMM (Skill Based MatchMaking = skill-based matchmaking) is no longer a secret for most of the community, especially on Call of Duty where the feature has been democratized for several years now.

But it still visibly surprises some players who wonder how they can come across so many players with a good level. We don’t know if there were any real changes to this in the Season 2 Recharged update, so maybe the developers, Raven Software, will be able to shed some light on this in the near future.
