While Warzone’s Stimulant has been a source of controversy for several seasons now, the Season 3 Reloaded update has finally made some fixes to what is considered “overpowered” gear.
The uses of Stimulant are nearly limitless in Warzone. Whether you’re looking for health or need a quick boost, this tactical gear has become a staple in player classes for several seasons.
However, over the weeks, players have started to complain heavily about this item, and recently, during the Season 3 Recharged update, the Warzone devs announced some fixes to the Stimulant.
Season 3 Reloaded has just landed on Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific.
Stimulant finally nerfed in Warzone
In the Season 3 Reloaded patch note, the developers pointed out that the Stimulant ended up performing too well for their expectations.
The improved slide and unstoppable heal made this item a staple in the meta, and it was time to bring it back down to earth.
So in order to reduce its effectiveness, the speed increase and healing have been adjusted. Sliding will still give you an extra distance hit on an enemy, but not as much as before, and being bombarded by bullets will now interrupt the health regeneration process.
For several seasons now, the Stimulant has been a highly controversial piece of equipment.
How has Stimulant changed in Warzone?
The patch note of the last update indicates the following changes.
Stimulant Adjustments | All Maps & Modes | In season
- Slide modifier has been reduced
- The slide modifier was just too extreme. While we think sliding motion should be improved when a player uses a Stimulant, it should still stay within bounds.
- Added weapon damage interrupt effect (received)
- If a player takes weapon damage, the healing effect will be interrupted. The previous mechanic allowed players to repeatedly heal themselves while actively taking damage, which is not the intent of this tool.
While the Improved Slide nerf is a highlight of this tweak, getting out of Invading Gas will require more foresight than ever, as relying on Stimulant to regain full health will no longer be a viable option.
